I’m Back!!

I am back!! After more than a year since my last blog post, I am back. Life has thrown some challenges my way which have prevented me from putting any time, or energy into my blog, but it has always been on my mind. I will be posting on a monthly basis from here on out. I hope all of you readers are well.

Spring School Lunch

Spring is finally here, or at least that’s what the calendar says. It looks like we have several weeks to go of snow on the ground. I think the Easter bunny will have to hide his eggs in dirty wet snow this year. I made this lunch for B on the first day or spring. The flower sandwich is peanut butter and jelly. I used a large cookie cutter for sandwich, and a smaller one to show the jelly through. Raspberries, cucumber, carrots and ranch dressing complete this spring time lunch.

School Lunch

P1000110My 6 year old loves salami. I typically only buy nitrate free, but caved when he saw this in a little package at Trader Joes. He prefers to eat it plain, with no crackers or cheese. I added some cheese puff crunchies, mango, grapes and a small salad. I have to say, I am really looking forward to a new assortment of produce this spring. We are tired of the winter selection in the grocery store. Have a great week.

Homemade Hand Sanitizer

It is that time of year again when it seems like almost everyone you come into contact with is sick. I have way too many obligations, and things to do to be sick all the time, so I have been turning to hand sanitizer to help eliminate some of those nasty germs. The every day hand sanitizer that you can buy at your local department store is affordable, yet harmful to our bodies. I do not want to keep spending oodles of money at the health food store on natural sanitizers, so I thought maybe I could make my own. 🙂
